About the Makers

Hi, we’re Georgie & James!
We started Mindful Foods based on a love of cooking elaborate meals, home-baking granola, and throwing foodie parties with friends. In 2012 we were brought together in Byron Bay by our passion for food and its connection to healthy people and the planet. Like all good things our friendship grew slowly, organically. Over many a shared meal the idea for Mindful Foods simmered, gaining potency until 2016 when we joined the food co-op in Byron with a single product; Cacao Brain Power Granola. It is still our most popular activated, organic granola, amongst our 70+ products including activated nuts, snacks and teas.

The reaction to our handmade, small batch and pure human-powered foods was astounding. We hit the road spreading “the good mues” and after visiting hundreds of stores around Australia we are now proudly stocked in over 1000 retailers.

We put people and the planet at the forefront of what we do. Over the last 4 years these values have been manifested through our commitment to Australian grown ingredients, certified organic produce and plastic-free, zero waste packaging. It’s only been through your support that we’ve been able to tackle the values that mean the most to us. So thank you for choosing to look after yourself and the planet.

Each of our products are handcrafted and packed under the Byron sunshine, then sent from our kitchen to yours with love.
